      On this 22nd day of February 1875 Personally appeared before me Cyrus Hickenlooper Clerk of Phillips County and State of Kansas Mariah B. Worley a resident of Phillips County Kansas - Aged 48 years Who being duly sworn according to Law doth on her oath make the following Declaration in order to obtain the benefits of the provisions made by the act of Congress approved July 14 1862 - That she is the widow of Abraham Worley who was a Captain in Company L Commanded by Abraham Worley in the 4 Regiment of Missouri Vol Cavalry in the War of 1861 Who while in the service of the United States and in the line of his duty he contracted the following disability to wit. As already filed and recorded in your office according to application of Abraham Worley for pension no 66450 from which disability the said Abraham Worley died on the 6th day of September 1874 She further declares that she was married to the said Abraham Worley on the first day of Oct 1848. That she has remained a widow ever since that period. As will more fully appear by reference to the (proof?) here unto annexed. She further swears that she has the following named children of her deceased husband under sixteen years of age - who are now living the dates of whose birth were as given below to wit.
      Mary Cathern Worley was born on the 30th day of March 1860 and John Robert Worley was born Oct 20, 1862
      She further declares that she has not abandoned the support of any one of the children above named nor permitted any one of the same to be adopted by any person or persons that they are the only Legitimate children of herself and the deceased under sixteen years of age and that she has not in any manner engaged in or abetted or aided in the Rebellion of the United States. My Post office address is Mariah B. Worley, Phillipsburgh Phillips County Kansas.

      On this 4th day of September A.D. 1875 Personally appeared before me Cyrus Hickenlooper Clerk of Phillips County Kansas Mariah B. Worley resident of Phillips County and State aforesaid who being duly sworn according to law deposes and says that she is the lawful widow of Abraham Worley Dec. That she was married to the said Abraham Worley on the first day of October in the year 1848 in the County of Johnson and State of Tennessee. That she has lived with the said Abraham Worley as his obedient wife from the date of her marriage with him until his death on the sixth day of September 1874 and that Mary Catherine Worley is the name of our oldest child under sixteen years of age at at the death of my husband the said Abraham Worley. That she the said Mary Catherine Worley was born on the 30th day of March in the year 1860. And that our next and only other child under sixteen years of age at the death of my husband was born on the 20th day of October 1862 and whose name is John Robert Worley and those children above named are the only ones that we have under sixteen years of age.

      On this 26th day of January 1876 Personally appeared before me Fred A. Dutton, Clerk of the District court in and for the County and State aforesaid Mariah B. Worley whom I certify to be respectable and entitled to credit who being by me duly sworn according to Law Deposes and says that she is widow of Abraham Worley and the mother of John Robert Worley born on the20 of Oct 1862 in the Town of Lebanon in the County of Laclede in the State of Missouri. And that she is the mother of Mary Catherine Worley born on the 30 day of March 1860 in Laclede County Mo. And that the said children John Robert and Mary Catherine Worley were the children of Abraham Worley her husband Dec.

      ABRAHAM WORLEY PROBATE

      To Probate Court of Phillips County in the State of Kansas.
      The petition of George W. Worley son of Abraham Worley late of said County, deceased, respectfully showeth. That on or about the 16th day of September, AD 1874 the said Abraham Worley died leaving goods, chattels, rights, credits, and real estate (The goods, chattels, rights and credits being in the County aforesaid and the real estate in Jackson County in said state). That to the best of the knowledge and belief of your petitioner no Last Will or Testament was left by the said Abraham Worley deceased. That the deceased has left a widow Maria B. Worley aged 47 years and six children, Sarah M. Worley aged 22years, David E. Worley aged 19 years, Thomas J. Worley aged 17 years, Mary C. Worley aged 14 years, and John R. Worley aged 12 years. That the deceased was and at immediately preceding his death an inhabitant of said county. Your petitioner therefore prays that letters of authorization my be granted on the estate of the said deceased and that he may be appointed the administrator thereof.

      Know all men by there presents thru me Geo. W. Worley as principal and John M. Duncan, Henry Duncan as sureties are bound and firmly held unto the State of Kansas in the sum of One Thousand dollars good and lawful money of the United States. Provided always and the above obligations are upon the following conditions whereas the above bonder Geo. W. Worley has been appointed administrator of the Estate of Abraham Worley deceased.
      First that he will make and render unto court on oath within sixty days or sooner if so ordered by the probate court, a true inventory of all the moneys, goods, chattels, rights, and credits of the deceased which have or may come into his possession or knowledge and also of the real estate of the deceased.
      Second, to administer according to law all the moneys, goods, chattels, rights and credits of the deceased and the proceeds of all the real estate that may be sold for the payment of his debts which shall at any time come into the possession of the administrator or possession of any other person for him.
      Third, to render on oath a true account of his administration annually and at any other times when required by the court or the law and failing so to do for thirty days after he shall be notified of the expiration of the time by probate court. He shall receive no allowance for service unless the court shall enter upon it's journal that such delay was reasonable and necessary.
      Forth, to pay any balance remaining in his hands upon the settlement of his accounts to such persons as the court or the law shall direct.
      And fifth, to deliver the letters of administration into the court in case any will of the deceased shall be hereafter proven and allowed. Now if the said bonder George W. Worley as such administrator shall well and truly perform all the above conditions then this obligation to be said otherwise to be and remain in full force and effect.

W. Worley Administrator of said Estate, at such time and place as may be designated by said Administrator.

      Of the personal Estate of Abraham Worley deceased, made on the ninth day of December A.D. 1874, by J.D. Bradley, George Briggs, and Harvey Wills appraisers of said Estate.
      In compliance with the statute, the undersigned appraisers set off the widow and children of said deceased, the following articles without appraisement, the same being exempt from administration:
      One cooking stove and appendages, one box stove and appendages, one safe and table appendages, one bureau, all picture books, two beads & bedsteads and bedding, one sewing machine, one rocking chair and 8 other chairs and all other house hold furniture, 2 breaking plows, one seed drill, one span of mules, one set of harness, two cows, two hogs, one wagon, one reaper, one four tined fork, two three tined forks, one hay knife, one double shovel plow, one revolving hay rake and other tools.
      Also we do also set off to the said widow and children, the following household furniture, not herebefore enumerated, and appraised the same as follows:
